Less than one week.
That’s how quickly this holiday donation came together in Atlanta, Georgia and by the end of it, more than 850 Artificial Christmas trees were in the hands of local families.
In partnership with HugLife Cares ATL, King of Christmas helped light up the season across the city, proving that when community moves with urgency and heart, incredible things happen.

A Week of Action in Atlanta
The idea was simple: get Christmas trees to families who needed them, and do it fast.
Working alongside HugLife Cares, volunteers gathered early in the morning at The Hungry AF, unloading hundreds of trees in a parking lot before the sun was fully up. There were no months of preparation. No drawn-out timelines. Just commitment, coordination, and people willing to put in the work.
By the end of the event, over 850 families in Atlanta had selected a tree to bring home for the holidays.
Who Is HugLife Cares ATL?
HugLife Cares is an Atlanta-based nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and families in need through direct outreach.
Their work includes distributing “Huglanta Bags” filled with winter essentials like gloves and handwarmers, serving hot meals, and meeting practical needs with dignity and consistency.
Their motto says it best:
“HUGGIN ONE COMMUNITY AT A TIME.”
“NO THUGGIN, JUST HUGGIN.”
This Christmas tree donation aligned naturally with their mission, offering not only essentials, but also something symbolic: celebration, tradition, and a sense of belonging.
What It Took Behind the Scenes
Moments like these may look effortless in photos, but they’re built on early mornings, steady hands, and a whole lot of teamwork.
As trucks rolled in, volunteers moved tree after tree, carefully lining them up and keeping everything organized so families could choose theirs with ease. What started as a parking lot quickly transformed into something more, part warehouse, part gathering space, part celebration.
For many families, a Christmas tree becomes the heart of the home during the holidays, where lights glow, ornaments find their place, and new memories begin. Helping make that possible required more than coordination; it required collaboration.
Every person involved played a part in turning a fast-moving idea into something lasting and meaningful.
